It is not medical advice, it does not replace your clinical judgment, and you must verify all information — especially dosing — against current prescribing information and your patient's specific circumstances before acting on it.
By using DoseRef (the website at doseref.com and the DoseRef mobile applications, together the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is an informational reference intended for licensed healthcare professionals and trainees working under supervision. It is not medical advice, is not a substitute for professional judgment, and does not create a physician-patient relationship between you (or your patients) and DoseRef, its operators, or its contributors.
If you are a patient or member of the public: information in the Service is not directed at you. Consult a licensed healthcare provider about your care, and never start, stop, or change a medication based on anything you read here.
Drug information changes frequently, and despite a rigorous editorial process, errors and omissions can occur. You are responsible for verifying all information — dosing, interactions, warnings, adjustments, and empiric therapy suggestions — against current FDA prescribing information, your institution's protocols and antibiograms, and the individual patient's circumstances before making clinical decisions. Where the Service marks content as off-label or guideline-derived, that designation is informational and does not constitute a recommendation.
Dose calculators, renal function estimates (eGFR, CrCl), and the patient-context feature are computational aids based on the values you enter. Their output is only as accurate as those inputs, and standard equations have known limitations in specific populations. Always sanity-check calculated results.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DoseRef, Prairie Health & Wellness, and their owners, employees, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages — including harm to patients, lost profits, or lost data — arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.
The Service's design, software, and editorial content are the property of Prairie Health & Wellness or its licensors. Underlying FDA labeling data is in the public domain. You may use the Service for your own professional reference; all other rights are reserved.
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
